Touring the USA on a 1000 SP

 Squadra Guzzista member Rod (Morizzi) purchased a 1000 SP on e-Bay, flew out to Ohio and is now touring the USA on it. Just like last year’s “live” progress reports from Jan and Christine’s trip to the USA Rod is writing a diary that he will update via the wonders of wi-fi witchcraft as he progresses on his trip. The yearly Ruptured Budgie rally was the most successful yet attracting more than 400 to this unique yearly event held in Australia. The event is organised by the Queensland Moto Guzzi Club  and Wal (pictured) who is one of the organisers is a Squadra Guzzista member. A further member, Bill (ozstrider23) has posted an album of images of the event for you to view here.

Yesterday I received an e-mail from Bruno “Brian” Saturno of famed Guzzi custom outfit Ghezzi-Brian with a press rlease for their latest offering, the Furia replica designed to allow guzzi V11 owners the opportunity to build their own Furia at home. The Furia is one of Ghezzi-Brian’s best known models.

2011 is the 90th anniversary of the founding of the factory and we are planning a trip to the Moto Guzzi factory to celebrate. We also intend to take in the museum.
